American Idol Review 3.30.2010 Season 9 Episode 26 five fingers shoes

On this episode of American Idol it was Usher’s turn to play “mentor” to the Idol wannabes. As the guests tackled the R&B genre they stepped up to the plate and actually performed like they had an ounce of talent. The first to go tonight was the unique Siobhan Magnus. First off I’ve never seen glittered shin guards used as a fashion accessory, but what else would you expect from someone with a tattoo of Mary Poppins on her shoulder. Siobhan actually had an off week this week but received grace from the judges except for Simon. And I’ve got to say Ellen is starting to show some backbone as a judge and even garnered her first boo from the audience.
The next contestants were Casey and Big Mike who both received high praise cheap oakley sunglasses , especially from Simon. Other contestants such as Andrew Garcia and Lee DeWyze also performed well. Andrew was able to recapture some old magic by turning a Chris Brown tune into an acoustic tune. Lee DeWyze also turned in a great performance when he belted out “Treat Her Like a Lady” Simon went as far as saying Lee’s life may have changed forever because of his performance. Crystal Bowersox decided to get behind the keys and showed that she is a multi-instrumental talent as well as a great singer.
But alas this is season 9 and the sucky vocals and clueless performances eventually found their way back by channeling through Didi and poor Tim Urban. And speaking of Tim, I applaud him for having such a great attitude and taking all the criticism like a man coach handbags outlet , but I hope America does the dude a favor and sen ds him packing just so he doesn’t have to keep taking a beating from the judges. I think at this point even Tim knows that being in the American Idol top 10 is out of his league. I think it’s pretty safe to say that Tim or Didi should start packing their bags because one of them is going home.

The Montreux Jazz Festival – Held every summer, on the banks of Lake Geneva, the festival is one of the most well-known and reputed jazz festivals held in Europe. First held in 1967, when it featured legends like Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, the Montreux Jazz Festival of today has opened up to music of other genres and is host to over 200,000 music lovers every year, come summer. This is a big event and if you can only choose one, this is the one to attend if you possibly can, with the line-up always full of big names.
The Rome Jazz Festival – Held annually in the Italian capital, this jazz festival (which could not possibly be in a better location) is a platform for the existing and budding talent within the Jazz genre. Participants and fans of the festival come to Rome from other parts of Europe and America just to be a part of the Rome Jazz Festival. If you combine this event with a few days sightseeing in the city, this makes for a wonderful holiday or vacation.
The Berlin Jazz Festival – Dedicated to exploring the various avatars of Jazz in existence today, the Berlin Jazz Festival, one of the world’s most highly respected Jazz festivals is a blend of both traditional as well as progressive jazz sounds. The festival encourages musicians from all across the world to participate and draws major Jazz artists both from Europe and America. German food and beer, mixed with some summer jazz make for a great combination and Berlin is easily accessible from most European and international cities by air.
The Umbria Jazz Festival –Held every summer in Perugia, Italy, the festival has played host to musical stalwarts like Miles Davis and BB King in the past. This remains a very popular event in the annual music calendar and this has some well-known and lesser known artists, making for a great combination of the new and old, traditional and contemporary. There are some excellent jazz festivals every summer in Europe and the list above is just as few of the best.

Gospel songs by gospel music artists are changing the face of Gospel and Christian music with their innovative beats coupled with their heartfelt and anointed lyrics. Gospel songs such as ?Get Up? by Mary Mary, ?Grace? by BeBe & CeCe Winans, ?Friend of God? by Israel Houghton, and Marvin Sapp’s “Never Would Have Made It” have topped gospel music charts and in some cases, the secular charts. Gospel music?s styles and sounds are ever-changing and always seem to evolve over the years, but the core message of God?s redeeming love and grace has always remained the same.

This post is exclusively intended for music teachers who are motivated and inspired to improve their teaching strategy, performance and instruction. This aims to allow many music teachers around the globe to have easy access on the latest music teacher resources, lessons, inputs and ideas on teaching this powerful craft – music.
Teaching music can be an easy and fun task for some music educators; however, it can be tough and frustrating to many others. It is true that not all students have the passion or the heart for music; not all are interested in learning it as well as in acquiring such skill and knowledge. Now, helping them become more motivated and interested has been quite a challenging job. Many music teachers use audio-visuals, integrate technology and practice collaborative learning to keep them focused and more involved in classroom activities and discussions.
Although there have been many strategies and resources available elsewhere especially online, it seems that what the students really need, want and deserve has been yet disclosed. That is why music teachers, education specialists and academicians from different nations are making researches on how to enhance teaching different genres and crafts.
Student motivation naturally has to do with students’ desire to participate in the learning process. But it also concerns the reasons or goals that underlie their involvement or noninvolvement in academic activities. Although students may be equally motivated to perform a task, the sources of their motivation may differ. That is why educators should come up with concrete and specific means to get this.
Just like in any subjects, learning requires effective teaching incorporated with creative and innovative music teacher resources, strategies and styles. However, do you know that the best way to hit your students’ interest, enthusiasm and motivation is to make them feel that they are really special? More than just effective music teacher resources, you need to acquire the heart for teaching and touching their lives.
When you tend to touch their lives, make a difference and leave a remarkable impact, you will be amazed on how I can also change their perceptions towards learning, listening, participating and attending classes regularly. Based from my own experiences in my years of teaching music, here are some ways that can surely touch a student’s heart and may even change his life forever.

• Establishing emotional connection and camaraderie in the classroom
• Appreciating excellent works, performances and the likes
• Encouraging parent support
• Affirming their strengths and developing their weaknesses
• Linking learning to students’ interests
• Promoting collaboration between school and home
• Celebrating little successes everyday
James Comer, a good psychiatrist, renowned author and education specialist, has once said that no significant learning occurs without a significant relationship. It does sound right, isn’t it? Well, as music teachers struggle and make efforts to motivate students particularly the unmotivated ones, each one of us must learn how to give rewards, incentives, praises and other means of warm appreciation. After all, changing the way how they look at themselves is as essential as great and effective music teacher resources.
